Garragh Mhor is a charming cottage located above Ellenabeich on the stunning Argyll coast, where the only sounds are birdsong. From the moment we arrived, Jan and Daz made us feel incredibly welcome. Their warmth and genuine hospitality made it feel less like staying in a B&B and more like visiting old friends. Nothing was too much trouble, and their kindness made our stay truly memorable.Their creativity is reflected throughout the property. Jan's beautiful paintings and Daz's incredible handcrafted ironwork are displayed both inside the cottage and in the enchanting, garden. The extensive breakfast menu offers a selection of delicious, healthy (and generous) breakfast choices - the perfect start to a day exploring this wonderful part of Argyll. In a world that feels increasingly busy and demanding, Jan and Daz have created a peaceful haven where it's easy to slow down, relax and simply enjoy the moment. Garragh Mhor is one of those special places that genuinely restores the mind, body and soul. The location is excellent too, just a short stroll to the Oyster Bar & Restaurant and only a few minutes' drive to the Tigh an Truish Hotel (next to the Atlantic Bridge), both offering excellent options for lunch or dinner. There are also beautiful walks right from the doorstep.A stay at Garragh Mhor feels like receiving a warm hug. We left feeling refreshed, recharged and already looking forward to our next visit. We couldn't recommend it more highly.- Ali M
We felt right at home in the little paradisethat Jeanette and Darren have created there, and we felt welcome from the very first moment. We always got great tips and went on wonderful excursions by bike and on foot. And our two hosts are so warm and welcoming that it’s hard to leave.- Martin and M
