Lovely B&B and Lovely People - Rating 5/5

I stayed at Garragh Mhor for one night and it was a lovely stay.Jan and Daz are lovely, friendly and helpful people, the room was very comfy and provided everything I needed. It's in a lovely occasion on Seil and has beautiful views. And Daz is an extremely talented artisan blacksmith (hope that's the right name) and his beautiful work is dotted throughout the B&B, giving it a real personal character. Thanks again Jan & Daz - see you next time hopefully!G

Fantastic place - Rating 5/5

Jan & Daz are the greatest of hosts, and nothing was too much for them. The place was so peaceful and tranquil that I feel totally recharged. The location is fantastic the scenery is stunning and everyone is so welcoming, I will definitely be visiting the Isle again. Thanks both for allowing me to share your piece of paradise.

Amazing stay and wonderful hosts! - Rating 5/5

What to say about Garragh Mhor? My grown up daughter and I stayed in Ellenbeich at Garragh Mhor for 2 nights recently and booked because of the 9.5 star reviews and the photos posted by previous travellers. In our eyes they did not do justice as this wonderful gem andsuper hosts, Jan and Daz should hands down get 11 out of 10 as everything was perfect. We received a very warm welcome and Jan gave us a heads up on where everything was, and say us down and went through the scrumptious breakfast menu so we could put our order in for the next morning. My daughter chose the granola and fruit with coconut yoghurt and I had Daz’s overnight oats to start followed by the full vegetarian breakfast and shakshuka. All our choices were simply delicious the next morning and set us up for the day.Unfortunately the weather wasn’t that great on our full day there however we chilled and chatted to Jan over breakfast and took our time getting out the door. It was altogether a very relaxing guest house where you can just take your time to stop and be present.Breakfast the next day was just as good and our check out process was easy.We were very sad to leave Garragh Mhor and definitely will be back and highly recommend a stay here.Other great things to do whilst staying are dinner or a lunch at the local pub, The Oyster Bar, a visit to the local folk museum, and take the foot ferry to Easdale Island and visit the local museum and art gallery.Another standout highlight of our stay was the 2hr Sea Fari Adventure. It is definitely not to be missed and will not disappoint.Amazing stay at Garragh Mhor!

Ahh hey there Jan! So lovely to get this stunning review - thanks so much. I wondered how your Seafari went. I am so glad it was great. They usually have guests buzzing after taking to the waves with our local operators. It is so beautiful out there - I hope you saw some wildlife.I hope our paths cross again - Kindred Spirits! Lovely to meet Ella too.Until next time! Much love from me and That Dazza xxxx

I had a very enjoyable two night stay at Garragh Mhor. The room was clean, very comfortable, bright and inviting. Jan and Daz are excellent hosts. The breakfasts were delicious, wholesome and healthy and unique to the B & B - I ordered Jan’s special porridge with berries and grains which was amazing! I would definitely stay there again!

This was one of the most welcoming places I have stayed - Rating 5/5

What an enchanting place! From the fascinating front garden overlooking the flooded quarry to the personal messages written by guests on small pieces of slate all around the front doorway, it was unique.

Warm, clean and comfortable vegetarian B & B in lovely location with great hosts- Rating 5/5

Stayed for 4 nights first week of April 2023.Double room en suite with views of sheep, lambs, rabbits and birds on crags behind property.Jan and Daz were lovely hosts - they were warm and friendly and Jan was very knowledgeable about the local area.Daz made us tea on arrival and stayed to chat.We felt like we had made new friends. The room was warm, clean and comfortably furnished with tasteful decor. Daz is a blacksmith and examples of his work abounded in every detail from door hinges and hooks to handles and some examples of his wheelwright work. The breakfasts are wholly vegetarian and the choices were varied and interesting.I tried Daz's overnight oats and fruit, buckwheat pancakes and the shakshuka - all super tasty. My husband usually likes his bacon and sausages but enjoyed the veggie full Scottish breakfast just as much.We highly recommend this B & B . One of the best we have ever stayed at.Thanks Jan and Daz!
