fter visiting Garragh Mhor in August I paid a return visit for Xmas. Jan & Daz were open for the festive period & were offering a short break for people looking to escape from the commercial frenzy of yuletide at home.In addition to her usual tasty, cooked breakfasts Jan provided fine meals each evening and Xmas dinner itself was quite sumptuous. Who would have thought that vegetarian cuisine could be so varied and appetising? On Xmas Day night Daz fired up the brazier and we guests adjourned to outside chairs. Shep had brought his guitar along & played some great classics that everyone could sing along to.Then during the day some local walking had been planned. The coastline in this part of Scotland is wonderfully indented whilst out to sea the bay is sprinkled with numerous islands. My double-bed room was very comfortable for the 3-night stay and plenty warm enough for a mid-winter break. - John O
